Things to do doing your free time:

Free Time:  Thursday (if you come a day earlier. No retreat activities planned this day).
                     Friday (on your way to the retreat. Remember:  Check-in at The Farmhouse Inn from 3-5 PM. Dinner Friday night - 6 -7 PM. Arriving late - come to the Farmhouse Inn.  Let us know if you are NOT going to be there for dinner.)

Historical & Architectural Walking Tour of Madison

Saturday from 1:30-2:45 PM OR 2:45 - 4 PM

Drive to Dyars Pasture and/or Skull Shoal historic site in Watkinsville which are pretty spots but not big hikes.

Hiking at Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center south of Mansfield. It is a 3 mile loop with lakes and bird watching.

If you want to visit some of the other quaint towns on the way home Sunday, you could drive home the back way through Eatonton and Monticello.

You could also eat lunch at Rock Eagle (over at 1:30) and tour the rock formation. Might want to make a reservation.

This area of I-20 is really an interesting area historically, agriculturally and culturally.
